Vivekananda Institute of Technology

Vivekananda Institute of Technology (VKIT) was established in 1997 by the prestigious Janatha Education Society (JES) with the noble objective of imparting world-class technical education to students across Karnataka and India.

Set amidst a sprawling, serene 25-acre lush green campus in Kumbalgodu along Mysore Road, Bengaluru, VKIT provides an idyllic ambiance conducive to focused learning, scholarly research, and holistic personality development. The institute is recognised by the Government of Karnataka, approved by AICTE, New Delhi, permanently affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, and accredited by NAAC.

In 1997, the Janatha Education Society established the Vivekananda Institute of Technology with the mission of providing quality education to students from weaker and underprivileged sections of society at an affordable cost.

2004

Research & Campus Expansion

Establishment of specialized computational laboratories, digital library, and expanded auditorium facilities.

2013

Mechanical Engineering Department & Research

Launch of the Department of Mechanical Engineering with 9 advanced laboratories including CAD/CAM, CNC, and 3D printing.

2021

Emerging Technologies & AIML

Introduction of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AIML) alongside VTU doctoral research programs.
