Head of Department
Dr. Vidya A has 25+ years of teaching and 10 years of research experience. She received her Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from JNTUH, M.E. in CSE from UVCE, Bangalore University, and B.E. in CSE from Bangalore University. She has published numerous research papers in peer-reviewed International Journals and Conferences, and received the Best Paper Presentation Award. Her name is listed in Marquis Who's Who in Science and Engineering (2011).
She is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (FIE), and a Life Member of ISTE, IAENG, and CSI. Her research interests span Data Mining, Bioinformatics, Pattern Recognition, IoT, and Image Processing.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established in the year 1997, since the inception of the institute. The department offers B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering, M.Sc Engineering by Research, and Ph.D. programs in various specializations of Computer Science and Engineering with a total intake of 180 students.
The department has state-of-the-art laboratories and well-qualified faculty members. The program is designed to provide students a solid foundation of core computer science, with electives offered in key emerging areas. The curriculum complies with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi.
Graduates from the department are working in reputed multinational organizations across the globe. The department features a VTU-recognized Research Centre where students are encouraged to pursue interdisciplinary research in Computer Vision, Data Mining, Networking, and High-Performance Computing.
